"Genitales" art project

Our genitals are generally kept hidden - both literally and figuratively. Everyone has a relationship with their genitals, but no one talks about it. Many people are so uncomfortable talking about their genitals that they don't get help when they associate them with something negative. It's time to stop feeling ashamed about the parts of our bodies that we share with so few. I hope that this series will help to un-privatize our private parts and start a real discussion about them. My goal is to help people realize that they are not alone.

Over the next few years, I will be working on an art series involving people and their relationship with their "private parts." The series will be titled "Genitales" and will be one part portrait and one part interview, with words from the interview overlaying the portrait.

These relationships can be positive, negative or indifferent. Volunteers will receive $50 for participating. The portrait will not show your face and nudity is not required, but would be preferred. We will do a short photoshoot, so you do not need to pose live.

Everyone interested will be considered (any size, shape, gender, race, etc.), but I am especially seeking transgender individuals (or others who do not identify with their assigned gender), survivors of sexual assault, those who are uncomfortable with the appearance of their genitals, those with genital abnormalities or dysfunctions, those with genital piercings, those with reproductive issues, those who are proud of their appearance and those who have given birth (preferably recently).

For each portrait, the chosen model may choose a non-profit to whom 50% of the proceeds from sale of the portrait will be donated.

If interested, please complete the form below and I will respond as soon as I am able to set up a time to chat. I look forward to hearing your stories and giving them a voice that can help others.

Success! Message received. You should expect a response within the next 48 hours.
